本日、AbeBooksに注文していたI. Newton & R. D. Chancellor編のConservation Studies on Raptorsがアメリカの古書店から届きました。この本は、猛禽類の論文集で、1985年に出版されました。ペーパーバックの482ページで、表紙の右下に折れ目が入っているのが難点でしたが、他は申し分ありませんでした。本体15ドル+送料13ドル=合計28ドルでした。

論文というものに初めて接したのは、大学の水産学部にいたころのことで、もちろん、魚など水産関係のものでした。ゼミなどで使用したこともありましたが、当時はその意義を理解しておらず、興味も持っていませんでした。今だったら大学の図書館に入り浸るのですが、惜しいことをしました。そういうわけで、今後はこのブログでもゼミ形式で取り上げてみようと思っています。
